Cordyceps are a fungi, found predominately in Asia. Legend has it, cordyceps were discovered by yak herders in Tibet, after they found their yaks became more energetic after eating a certain mushroom. As it transpired, that mushroom was cordyceps. Since then, cordycep mushrooms have became one of the most popular mushroom supplements on the planet.

Studies suggest Cordyceps may boost exercise performance and may be anti-inflammatory. Other studies find cordyceps have anti-aging benefits and shown to decrease blood sugar levels.
